Não esqueças o dia 17 de Setembro!!!

September 17, 2006 in London, New York City, Paris and across the world

Since 2003, Darfur in Western Sudan has been embroiled in a deadly conflict.
Several hundred thousand people have been killed or seriously injured.
More than two million people have been displaced and live in displaced-persons camps in Sudan or in refugee camps in Chad; and more than 3.5 million people are reliant on international aid for survival.
On September 17th, organizations, activists, and individuals from around the world will gather in large capitals and small villages to speak about the atrocities being committed in Darfur. On this Global Day for Darfur, tens of thousands of concerned individuals will stand together and call with one voice for stronger international action to end the atrocities taking place in Darfur.
When UN peacekeeping forces enter a region, they are recognized by the blue berets and helmets they wear.
Activists around the world will wear blue hats to symbolize the urgent need to protect the people of Darfur with UN peacekeeping forces.
